Do I need a referral?
No, you don’t need a referral to see us.
If you are referred from your GP, teacher or other health professional, we can work with them and keep them up to date on your child’s goals, treatment and progress.

What is speech therapy and how can it help my child?
Speech and language therapy may focus on supporting, developing or improving your child's:
- Early interaction skills
- Play skills
- Speech skills (articulation)
- Stutter
- Language skills
- Social communication skills
- Literacy skills
How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?
If you, or someone involved in caring for your child like a teacher, doctor, or paediatrician, has any concerns about your child's speech, language, social, or literacy skills, it's a good idea to get in touch with a speech pathologist for a chat.
Are you registered for NDIS funding?
ChatterBugs is not an NDIS registered provider. But, if you are Self Managed or Plan Managed you can use NDIS funding to pay for sessions.
Are sessions covered by private health funds?
Your child's sessions might be paid for by your private health insurance, but it depends on your provider and the type of coverage you have. Since each health fund is unique, it's a good idea to reach out to your private health fund to find out what rebates you qualify for.
